Fiordiligi
Lauren Carroll, soprano
Soprano Lauren Carroll (Fiordiligi) was a Young Artist with Palm Beach Opera during the 2024–25 season. She made her debut as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro and covered the roles of Juliette in Roméo et Juliette and Violetta in La traviata. This summer Ms. Carroll is a Fleming Fellow and sings Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. She returns to Aspen after performing the role of Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel with AMFS last summer. Ms. Carroll has also been an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera. Ms. Carroll received her Master of Music from Rice University.

Dorabella
Ashlyn Brown,
mezzo-soprano
Ashlyn Brown, Fleming Artist, sings Dorabella (Così fan tutte) and the alto solos in Handel’s Messiah. A lyric mezzo-soprano, Ashlyn recently joined Palm Beach Opera as a Young Artist. There she sang Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette) and Flora (La traviata), and covered Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro). Last summer Ashlyn made her mainstage professional debut in Der Rosenkavalier and The Righteous at Santa Fe Opera. Prior engagements include apprenticeships with Santa Fe Opera, Palm Beach Opera, and Sarasota Opera. Among her recent achievements is a win at the 2024 Florida District auditions of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition.

Guglielmo
Finn Sagal, baritone
Baritone Finn Sagal (Guglielmo) recently completed his first year at the Ryan Opera Center in Chicago. Sagal participated in the 2023 Merola Opera Program and was the third prize winner at the 2024 Neue Stimmen International Opera Competition. He received a master’s degree at the Yale School of Music, where he performed the roles of Junius (The Rape of Lucretia), the Tutor (Le Comte Ory), and Nick Shadow (The Rake’s Progress). He has performed with luminaries such as Liza Minnelli, Michael Feinstein, and Kristin Chenoweth. Finn returns to Aspen in 2025 after participating in the Aspen Opera Theater and Vocal-
ARTS program in 2022.

Ferrando
Jonghyun Park, tenor
n the 2024–25 season Korean tenor Jonghyun Park (Ferrando) returned to the Metropolitan Opera for his second year in the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, singing the Sergeant in Il barbiere di Siviglia and the First Prisoner in Fidelio while covering the role of Jaquino. He also sang the roles of the Shepherd and the Sailor in a concert production of Tristan und Isolde with the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. He made his Met debut in the 2023–24 season as the First Guard in The Magic Flute and covered the role of Tybalt in Roméo et Juliette.

Despina
Laura Miah, soprano
Laura Miah (Despina) is a Puerto Rican soprano and master’s student in opera at the Yale School of Music. Her roles include Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, and Amy in The Snowy Day. She has performed with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and has sung solos in works like Mozart’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Gloria. Miah has received multiple awards from the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition and was a finalist in the Florida Grand Opera National Voice Competition. She has participated in programs such as the Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Academy and the Ravinia Festival.

Don Alfonso
Peter Barber,
bass-baritone
Peter Barber (Don Alfonso) is an American bass singer and graduate of the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts. He has performed over thirty operatic roles including Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Bottom (Midsummer Night’s Dream), Colline (La bohème), and the King of Egypt (Aida). Peter is currently a studio artist at Arizona Opera and is returning to the AMFS for a second season. By producing music-related content on YouTube, he has built an online following of over half a million people. Peter is also a founding member of The Bass Gang, an award-winning group with over 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
